Where Sailors Dare: Sailing the World's Most Challenging Waters
Many boaters are happy cruising familiar, and more importantly, friendly waters to enjoy a relaxing day on the water. There are however those who look to challenge themselves and their boats by testing their limits in some of the world's most unforgiving waters.
From the North West Passage to Chilean Patagonia, Papua New Guinea and the frigid waters of Antarctica, Georgia Boscawen from BOAT International weighs up the intriguing allure of these challenging waters.
Living Seawall Creates a Space for Nature
Plymouth, UK is now home to a living seawall after global organisations united in an attempt to enhance biodiversity. Bespoke concrete panels have been installed along the edge of Plymouth Sound National Marine Park to create new habitats for a variety of marine flora and fauna.
It is hoped the habitats could become homes for limpets, barnacles, anemones, seaweeds, sponges and other species commonly found in natural habitats along the South West coastline.

It’s a 5-6,000 mile continuous waterway that enables recreational mariners to explore part of the Atlantic, Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes, Canadian Heritage Canals, and the inland rivers of America's heartland. Anyone who completes the journey is then named an official 'Looper!

Volunteers Mates Wanted to Join Sailing Adventures with Dame Ellen MacArthur's Cancer Trust
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is looking for volunteer Mates to inspire young people living through and beyond cancer to believe in a brighter future, and the deadline for applications is fast approaching.
The charity is looking for those with an RYA Day Skipper qualification to join their four- and five-day sailing adventures in 2024, which set sail from East Cowes on the Isle of Wight and Largs in Scotland.
