Five years after launching Savvy Navvy are seeing a rise in demand from leading global industry partners wanting to collaborate to help innovate the marine industry.
Over the past year Savvy Navvy has increased its partners tenfold, now covering each of its global regions.
“There are so many really innovative things happening in boating right now – and we’re always keen to work with anyone that brings ease of use and helps the boater. We need to break down barriers and the intimidation factors that exist in the marine industry and at Savvy Navvy we’re helping to change that alongside our partners.
“We are especially finding forward-thinking market players, such as sustainable partners, are finding that our ‘Google maps for boats’ app can integrate functionalities at speed. Examples include how our boating app can map out electric charging points for electric boats, predict fuel consumptions, update on marina capacities and much more.
“We also support charities and many of the lifesaving associations have fed back how functionalities such as our tidal and enhanced weather forecasting can support keeping boaters and now also kayakers, jet-skiers and paddleboarders safe on the water. Ultimately, Savvy Navvy was founded on the idea of getting more people on the water to enjoy it safely and our partners are a huge part of this,” says David.
Savvy Navvy’s partners include …
Savvy Navvy has grown rapidly since ex-Google Software Engineer Jelte Liebrand and co-founder Kevin O’Neill launched around five years ago. They are constantly evolving, changing and pushing new innovation of their navigation app based on user feedback. They want to give anyone on the water, whether it’s a paddleboarder, a kayaker or someone in a 50ft yacht access to their platform, which today is used by around half a million users in more than 100 countries globally.
